For this research residency, the Foundation provides a place for writing with the opportunity of a public presentation within the programme as a reading, projection and/or performance. The residency sessions will take place from February to June and from September to November 2021 for a duration of 4 to 6 weeks. A grant of 900 euros for a full month residency will be awarded to the laureates.

The Foundation is pleased to announce its collaboration with two new artistic partners: Trampoline association for the influence of the French scene, and World Art Foundations, an active network gathering more than 350 international foundations.

Working collectively towards the recognition of our artistic programming is more than ever essential to face the health, ecological and economic crisis we are going through. Networking to defend contemporary creation is intended to create synergies of resources and knowledge and allows for actions with greater impact.

Trampoline

Created in 2019 by Laurent Dumas (CEO of the Emerige group), chaired by Paula Aisemberg (director of artistic projects at Emerige, former director of the Maison Rouge), Trampoline association brings together private cultural structures that unite their efforts to take collective action in favour of the international influence of the French artistic scene. Trampoline thus affirms the commitment of its fourteen members to work together to support and promote visual artists both in France and abroad around three main axes:

  • Inviting directors and curators from international institutions to France to enable them to formulate projects abroad.
  • Supporting projects for the exhibition and dissemination of French performing artists abroad.
  • Communicating on the richness of the proposals in favour of French performing artists.

Fondation Thalie joins Trampoline alongside ADAGP, Comité professionnel des Galeries d’Art, Bullukian Foundation, Francès corporate Foundation, Martell corporate Foundation, Neuflize OBC corporate Foundation, Pernod Ricard Foundation, Fondation des Artistes, Bredin Prat corporate Foundation, Emerige Foundation, Fonds Hélène & Edouard Leclerc pour la Culture, Lafayette Anticipations, SAM Art Projects.

"Private Architecture (oui oui non non)" a jewelry by Valérie Mannaerts

© Martina Bjorn

Editions Thalie present their last multiple, Private Architecture (oui oui, non non), a jewelry signed by the Belgian-born artist Valérie Mannaerts.

Launched by Nathalie Guiot, Editions Thalie has been supporting the creation of limited edition artists jewelry for several years. Sculptor as much as painter, the Belgian-born artist Valérie Mannaerts has imagined for this 2020 season, Private Architecture (oui oui non non), a jewelry inspired by the pre-Columbian pectoral jewel in leaf cutting. A singular jewel linked to the plastic universe of the artist: ornamental and whimsical.

Born in 1974 in Brussels, Valérie Mannaerts is represented by Bernier/Eliades Gallery, Brussels & Athens. Her work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions, including Convex/Concave: Belgian Contemporary Art, TANK, Shanghai (2019), What is Ornament? Architecture Triennial, Lisbon (2019),  Solid Liquids, Real Somethings, Bernier/Eliades Galerie, Brussels (2017); Kunsthalle Münster (2016); Everything Architecture, BOZAR, Brussels; Small Museum for the American Metaphor, RedCat Gallery, Los Angeles (2014).
